Capitol Hill – Downtown. This neighborhood is located near downtown Seattle, and is known for its wide diversity of residents and visitors. This densely populated area of town is also home to some of the wealthiest residents of Seattle, with palatial mansions throughout much of the area.

The Capitol Hill area always has events going on. One of the most popular occurrences is the two film festivals held here each year. The Seattle International Film Festival and Three Dollar Bill Cinema Film Festival are credible festivals that draw distinction to this blended area of Seattle.
True to its surroundings, the residents of Capitol Hill are mostly young singles or young couples, with strong viewpoints and open minds. Several colleges and institutions of higher learning are a part of the neighborhood, including Seattle University. Locals now enjoy Cal Anderson Park, a newly renovated park that boasts a playground, splash ground, jogging trails and vast lawns for residential enjoyment amid city life.
The area is known primarily for its coffee, music, and nightlife. Shopping and tourism may not be the priority in Capitol Hill, but a primary retail district isn’t more than a mile away. Capitol Hill has become a popular hang out on the weekend for people of all ages and backgrounds.
Most of the housing in the area is a mix of old style elegance, with new condominium style apartments. With Capitol Hill residing at the base of modern high rises, the overall community tone is urban chic. Aside from the community destinations, residents enjoy the close proximity to downtown work and a central location to surrounding Seattle neighborhoods.
